Splash Group

  • Ages 5-8 (Must know how to swim 1 length of pool) 
  • 2x/Week for 1 hour
  • Cost: $98/month
  • Things Needed: Swimsuit, shorts, towel, tennis shoes, water bottle 
  •  Also known as "DiveNastics" 
  • This group is a balance between the basics of gymnastics and the basics of diving. This group will work on the basics of coordination, balance, flexibility and strength, which will lead to basic motor skills in the water. 
  • Dryland will consist of 80% of their daily workouts 
  • Kids will learn how to walk (heel to toe) with proper hand positions, elbow extension, with a tight core and the balance in the proper location with the body 
  • Divers will learn the "unnatural" position of being upside down with headstand with the goal of being able to do a headstand without help
  • Divers must master proper body positions (straight legs, elbows extended, straight fingers and tight core) with forward and backward jumps off the side of the pool, before moving to the 1-Meter springboard and then lastly the 3-meter springboard. 
  • Divers will learn drills for the basic line ups off the side of the pool
  • We encourage ALL divers to attend the Chevron Mini Prix series through out the entire year 
  • We encourage ALL divers compete in one local (home) competition to start understanding how dive-meets work and to start getting comfortable in a competition setting 
  • Divers must attend 80% of all practices through out the year in order to be considered for another group
