Skills Testing

The skills testing program at COM has been developed over many years, and identifies what we feel are the keys to success in the sport. We have used these keys to create a program to track athletes progress through our system. It is designed to show kids where they are doing well and where they need improvement, as well as push them both physically and mentally. Skills tests are 100% in the gym. Water skills are tested daily with our Mancard program.

Dive Team 1 is required to pass Skills Test Level 1 and Skills Test Level 2. They must also complete Mancards 1 and 2, plus back entry from 3 meter (Mancard 3), as well as the Parent Questionnaire. They are required to demonstrate Stretching Routine 1 at the Level 1 Test. They are required to demonstrate and show improvement on Stretching Routine 1 at the Level 2 and 3 Tests.

Dive Team 2 is required to pass Skills Test Level 3. They must also complete Mancards 3 and 4, plus front jump pike from 7 meter and back jump pike from 5 meter (Mancard 5), as well as the Parent Questionnaire. They are required to demonstrate and show improvement  on Stretching Routines 1 and 2.

Dive Team 3 is required to pass Skills Test Level 4.​​ They must also complete Mancards 5 and 6,  as well as the Parent Questionnaire. They are required to demonstrate and show improvement on Stretching Routines 1, 2, and 3.

The parent questionnaire
​​must be turned in at the time of testing. Download and print the "Parent Questionnaire" and bring it with you on testing day.​

Flexibility routines are tested during class and are given a "satisfactory" or "unsatisfactory" on testing day. Work ethic is given a "satisfactory" or "unsatisfactory" on testing day. Both of these categories must be "satisfactory" in order to pass.
